Community Bus Service

The weekly community bus service linking Sancton, Newbald & Hotham to Market Weighton was launched on Tuesday 12 March. It is aimed at helping disabled, elderly & rurally isolated people get out and about. The route was extended in June 2019 to include Pocklington.

This is a collaborative project organised by Newbald & Sancton Parish Councils, facilitated by Beverley Community Lift and funded by Sober Hill Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund.

Anyone who would like to use the service first needs to complete a medical form. (This is a one time only requirement). Copies of the form are available to download and print here. Once completed, please either scan and email the form to manager@bclift.org.uk or post it to Beverley Community Lift, 25 Corporation Rd, Beverley HU17 9HG.

If you need a physical copy of the form, please call 01423 543985 or email clerk@newbald.com.

Each return trip will cost £2. This is a request service, so it is important that you call Beverley Community Lift on 01482 868082 between 9am and 12 noon Monday-Friday when you know what day/time you want to use it.

**Please note if you intend to travel on a Tuesday, you need to let Beverley Community Lift know by midday on the day before. **

The service will only run on request in order to make sure that the funding available for the service lasts as long as possible.

If you know someone who could benefit from this service but who may not be aware of it or struggle to apply, we would be very grateful if you could let them know and help them with the form (if necessary).
