News About The Refurbishment and Extension of the Hall from the
Chair of Newbald Village Hall Management Committee

Newbald Village Hall was granted £27,594 from WREN (Waste Recycling Environment Ltd) with a contribution of £2,966 from Sober Hill Wind Farm and NVH itself funding over £1000. This allowed us to reconfigure and provide brand new fully fitted toilets including a disabled toilet and baby changing facilities, new plumbing, a new heating system, a security system, storage facilities and a new front door!

2018 will see NVH going out for funding for Phase 2 – which has been drawn up by Turton Associates, approved by ERYC Planning, and is in the process of being tendered. This will provide a new meeting room to accommodate 40 people seated, soundproofed and carpeted, an office and storage room.

NVH Committee is always encouraging any Newbald resident interested in assisting with its development to come forward – from joining the committee to adding their name to the Friends of Newbald Village Hall where volunteers help on film shows, pub quizzes or anything they chose!
